The CATHARTIDAE (kath-arr-ti-die) Tablescape is a single place setting built to evoke the experience of enjoying a meal as a vulture. The installation was comprised of a concrete place mat, a hand-carved wooden fork, sculpted candle holders, “butter,” and a cocktail, all made of gelatin, a carrion tasting menu, and projected video footage of a busy highway.
